Emily Astrande is our Director and Administrator at Lake Otis Little Red. "Little Red is a place where children can learn and develop through play--it is a place where children can learn to be better people and become the leaders of our future." Prior to joining the LRS staff in 1997, Emily ran a home day care for 5 years caring for children from 6 weeks through 5 years of age. She holds a National Administrator Certificate and has 15 credits in Early Childhood Education and Child Development.
The most important thing new families to LRS should know about Emily, is that she will work hard to meet your individual needs. She is very understanding, flexible and patient--with new parents as well as children. Her strong belief regarding children is that they learn most from the examples set by the adults around them. Respect is an important element for guidance and discipline.
